- The difficult of this hole lays on the water obstruction, which is located at the right hand side along the fairway from the tee to the green. For the sake of China Open, a new pro tee was set up and the original back tee was moved 30 yards backwards. Therefore, golfers will have to have a strong swing to avoid the pool in front and bunkers along the right hand side water. If one plays against wind, it is much more difficult to tee off. There is a bunker located at the left front and a much bigger and deeper one located at the right side of the green, thus, the entrance to the green is relatively narrow. The fairway distance for the swing to the green is long, and the valid landing area is just very small. Thus, if the swing to the green is too heavy, the ball may run to the back of the green and fell into the water.
