  • Arrive in Suzhou (L)
  • Our guide will meet you at railway station. You will pay a visit to Humble Administrator's Garden, a preventative of Southern China classical gardens, and then visit Suzhou Museum, which is a museum of ancient Chinese art, ancient Chinese paintings, calligraphies, and hand-made crafts, situated in Suzhou, proceed to visit Lingering Garden, an elaborate succession of small gardens, where you will be amazed by its unique architecture and art, and No.1 Silk Factory.

  • Suzhou/ Tongli Watertown/ Suzhou Departure (B/L)
  • Drive to visit Tongli Water Town, an ancient watertown with a history of over 1000 years and characterized by stone bridges and well preserved ancient architecture including private gardens, temples and houses, and then visit Panmen Gate, the best preserved part of the ruins of the ancient city of Suzhou. Then transfer to railway station and see off. Service ends.

Getting Ready to Go

Visa: Visas are required for China

Passengers must check with the local Chinese embassy or consultation to determine what personal identification and profile is required to apply a China Visa. Passengers who enter, leave and then re-enter the same country on their itinerary should check if they require a double-entry visa.

Insurance: Actually China Dragon Tour purchases the Travel Service Liability Insurance for every passenger when you book tours via this website (except those who only book hotel or air flight). However, to buy a relatively higher quality life insurance by passengers’ is highly suggested.

 

Preparation

A considerate pre-planning can make your trip go smoother. Several weeks before your trip, make a list of what you will need to take with you and then prepare one by one. Make sure your personal documents (passports, visas) are in order and that you have enough prescription medications to last through the trip. China Dragon Tour suggests that you make copies of passports, visas, and any other important travel documents and pack them separately from the originals. Pack a list of medications including dosage and generic names. If you lose the originals while traveling, you'll have copies for easier reporting and replacement.

 

How to make a telephone call in China

Before you depart, please make sure your cell phone can dial international calls. When dialing a number from China to your country, you should proceed as follows: dial your country's Exit Code + destination Country Code + Phone Number. For most countries, the exit code is 00. Exceptions include the USA and Canada (011), Hong Kong and Cambodia (001), Australia (0011), and Russia (8 Pause 10*). For Brazil, please consult with the local telephone company. If the international number you wish to call starts with a 0 (zero), you must drop this starting digit when dialing the number.

In hotels you are able to dial a call back to your country and it is usually much cheaper than your cell phone.

Climate and Clothing

China is a huge country with varied climates. In general, the north is cold and dry in winter. In the south, summer is hot and humid, with a rainy season from July through September.

Bring comfortable walking shoes, a sweater, clothes you can layer and an all-weather jacket. Some religious sites may require modest dress to enter (no shorts, short skirts, or sleeveless tops).
